Our Projects
Student Sponsorship Program
We are excited to announce that we have recently initiated a sponsorship program designed to assist orphaned and needy children in gaining access to education in Nimule, South Sudan. This vital program aims to cover essential school fees, as well as necessary supplies for each child, which is incredibly important for those who may not have the opportunity to pursue an education otherwise. Many local schools have significantly raised their fees, making it increasingly difficult for parents to afford the education their children deserve.
Unfortunately, South Sudan has the highest number of out-of-school children in the world, with a staggering 70 percent of primary-aged children not currently enrolled in school( UNICEF) . This alarming statistic emphasizes the urgent need for educational support in our local communities.
By participating in our sponsorship program, you can play a crucial role in transforming these children's lives by providing them with the education, hope, and opportunities they desperately need for a better future. Your generous support can have a profound impact not only on their individual lives but also on the entire community, helping to break the relentless cycle of poverty and fostering a brighter future for the next generation of South Sudan.

Clean Water Fund
We are launching a clean water project to serve the community of Aru Junction, South Sudan, with a goal to raise $20,000 to finance the drilling of a new well, installation of a solar-powered water pump, and a 10,000-liter storage tank; this sustainable system will provide reliable, safe water for drinking, cooking, and hygiene, reduce the burden on women and children who currently walk long distances for water, lower waterborne disease risk, and support local community by ensuring year-round access to clean water.
Access to reliable and clean water is a critical need for the residents of Aru Junction, where water scarcity is a persistent challenge. This project will significantly improve the health and well-being of the community, as safe drinking water reduces the risk of waterborne diseases.
Moreover, this well will serve as a major time saver
Project purpose
Provide access to clean drinking water to reduce waterborne illness and improve overall health.
Reduce the burden on women and children who often travel long distances to collect water.
Support sanitation, hygiene, and community resilience in a region affected by conflict and displacement.
Planned activities
Drill and equip a borehole or rehabilitate an existing water source based on local assessments.
Install a solar-powered pump and storage tank to ensure sustainable, off-grid operation.
Construct a secure water distribution point with handwashing stations.
Train local water committee members in operation, routine maintenance, and simple repairs.
Deliver hygiene education sessions focused on safe water handling, handwashing, and sanitation practices.
Establish a community-based monitoring system to track water quality, use, and maintenance needs.
Community involvement
Engage local leaders, residents, and youth in planning and decision-making to ensure the project meets community needs and cultural norms.
Prioritize hiring local labor and sourcing materials locally where feasible to support the local economy.
Form a representative water committee responsible for daily management, fee collection (if needed and agreed), and coordination with To Live Is Christ Ministry Inc.
Sustainability and governance
Use solar power to minimize fuel dependence and long-term operating costs.
Provide training and a simple maintenance manual in the local language(s).
Set up a transparent small-scale revolving fund for repairs, maintained by the water committee with periodic oversight by the ministry.
Schedule periodic technical assessments by trained technicians to prevent system failures.
Health and social impact
Expect reduced incidence of diarrheal disease, improved school attendance (especially for girls), and time savings for households.
Increased capacity for small-scale gardening and livestock watering where appropriate, supporting food security.
Strengthened community cohesion through shared ownership and responsibility.
Monitoring and evaluation
Baseline survey of water access, health indicators, and household water practices before implementation.

for women and children, who are traditionally responsible for carrying water. Currently, they spend hours fetching water from distant sources, which can detract from their education and other essential activities. By providing a nearby water source, we aim to empower families and improve their quality of life.
We invite support from individuals and organizations to help us reach our fundraising goal. Together, we can make a lasting impact on the lives of those in Aru Junction by ensuring they have access to the clean water they deserve.

Brith Center — New Project Under Development
Project Title: Brith Center Maternal & Neonatal Support Initiative (BMNSI)
Overview The Brith Center Maternal & Neonatal Support Initiative (BMNSI) is a comprehensive project under development to expand maternal and neonatal care services for displaced and low-income families in war-affected regions of South Sudan. BMNSI will strengthen existing Brith Center facilities by adding focused prenatal, birthing, and postnatal services, with an emphasis on safe deliveries, newborn survival, and community-based education.
Objectives
Reduce maternal mortality and morbidity among women served by the Brith Center.
Decrease neonatal mortality and improve newborn health outcomes.
Increase access to skilled birth attendance and emergency obstetric care.
Provide community education on prenatal care, safe delivery practices, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
Train local healthcare workers and birth attendants in evidence-based maternal and neonatal interventions.
Key Components
Clinical Services Expansion
Establish a dedicated maternal ward and safe delivery room within the Brith Center.
Supply essential obstetric and neonatal equipment (delivery kits, sterilization, resuscitation devices, incubators/special care for small or ill newborns).
Implement standardized protocols for antenatal visits, labor management, postpartum care, and neonatal assessment.
Skilled Personnel & Training
Recruit and retain midwives, maternal health nurses, and a supervising obstetric clinician.
Conduct ongoing in-service training for local staff and traditional birth attendants in clean delivery, active management of the third stage of labor, neonatal resuscitation, identification and referral of complications, and infection prevention.
Community Outreach & Education
Run regular prenatal education sessions and breastfeeding support groups.
Deploy community health volunteers to identify pregnant women, encourage early antenatal care, and facilitate referrals.
Produce culturally appropriate educational materials on danger signs in pregnancy and newborn care.
Emergency Referral & Transport
Establish a referral pathway and emergency transport plan to higher-level facilities for obstetric emergencies (pre-eclampsia, hemorrhage, obstructed labor).
Maintain a communication network between community volunteers, Brith Center staff, and referral hospitals.
Nutrition & Psychosocial Support
Provide maternal nutrition supplements and counseling to pregnant and lactating mothers.
Integrate basic psychosocial support for mothers and families affected by conflict and displacement.
Monitoring, Evaluation & Quality Improvement
Track key indicators: number of antenatal visits, skilled deliveries, maternal and neonatal mortality/morbidity, referral outcomes, exclusive breastfeeding rates.
Implement regular quality improvement cycles and morbidity/mortality reviews to refine care practices.
Implementation Phases
Phase 1 (0–3 months): Needs assessment, stakeholder engagement, finalize protocols, procure essential equipment.
Phase 2 (4–9 months): Facility upgrades, staff recruitment and initial training, set up referral systems.
Phase 3 (10–18 months): Full service rollout, community outreach, ongoing monitoring.
Phase 4 (19–36 months): Scale-up, evaluation, handover planning for long-term sustainability.
Partnerships & Capacity Building
Collaborate with local health authorities, international NGOs, and community leaders to align services with regional health systems.
